The Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival is back this summer in Old Strathcona, running from Thursday, August 14 to Sunday, August 24, 2025.  As North America’s largest and longest-running Fringe, it features:

  • Roughly 223 theatre productions across 40 venues

  • Over 1,600 artists from Canada and abroad

  • Free outdoor shows, street performances, food vendors, patios, and a free nightly music series at ATB (McIntyre) Park

  • A Kids Fringe subset in Lighthorse Park, with free shows and activities for children and families

The Edmonton Fringe Festival is a must-visit if you're in town mid-August—offering diverse theatre, street magic, live music, and a vibrant family-friendly atmosphere, all set in the dynamic Old Strathcona District.
